Helmholtz Association

The active promotion of talent in all phases of life is a central goal of the Helmholtz Association of German Research Centres. This includes, for example, structured doctoral training, the programme of the Helmholtz Association Young Investigators Group, and the Helmholtz Management Academy. The Association currently operates 30 school laboratories that are used by approximately 80,000 students each year. With the “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation, the Helmholtz Association promotes early childhood science education.

The Siemens Stiftung invests in educational projects in order to provide diverse groups of people with prospects for the future and to enable social mobility. The foundation supports technical and scientific education, in particular in Europe, Latin America, and Sub-Saharan Africa. With the support of the “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation, the Siemens Stiftung aims to provide children with access to phenomena and contexts of science and technology as early as possible in order to meet the challenges of the present and the future. Within the framework of research on the impact of early childhood science education, the Siemens Stiftung promotes the work of the Early Steps into Science and Literacy (EASI Science-L) study on the interaction between science education and language development.

Dietmar Hopp Stiftung

Since 1995, the Dietmar Hopp Stiftung has supported charitable projects in the fields of sports, medicine, social affairs, and education concentrated in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region. In the field of education, the foundation’s goal is to contribute to a holistic and qualified education for children and young people. To prepare children for the future, and to quench their thirst for knowledge in the STEM subjects, the Dietmar Hopp Stiftung has promoted the “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation as a partner since its inception.

Deutsche Telekom Stiftung

With endowment capital totalling € 150 million, the Deutsche Telekom Stiftung ranks as one of Germany’s major corporate foundations. Centered on improving education in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) as well as in digital learning, its activities are arranged in altogether five fields of action. Deutsche Telekom Stiftung Early Education projects are primarily aimed at teachers and educators. The foundation provides them with support in the STEM and digital learning sectors by developing teaching materials, promoting alternative learning and teaching methods and providing continuing education.
