Data Protection

Handling of personal data

The “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation takes the protection of personal data very seriously. Personal data are any information relating to the personal or material circumstances of an identified or identifiable natural person (data subject). This information includes the person’s name, postal address, telephone number, and e-mail address. It does not include information that cannot be linked to a person’s identity (e.g., the number of users of the website).

The “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation stores the information on especially secure servers in Germany. Access to this information is restricted to a small number of especially authorised persons who are involved in the technical, commercial, or editorial support of these servers. In connection with such access, data are stored on the servers for back-up purposes that could possibly be used for identification purposes (e.g., IP address, date, time, and pages visited). We do not use the IP address to identify the user. Nor do we create personal or pseudonymised profiles of the users. By entering the data, the person consents to the collection and storage of the data. We reserve the right to statistically analyse anonymised data sets.

Transmission of personal data to third parties

The “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation uses personal information only within the Foundation. The “Haus der kleinen Forscher” Foundation does not transmit personal data to third parties without the explicit consent of the data subject. In accordance with statutory requirements, the Foundation undertakes to transfer data to bodies that are entitled to receive such information.
