Dr Auma Obama, Founder and Director, Sauti Kuu Foundation, Kenya
Dr Auma Obama was born in Kenya, studied in Germany and worked in the UK. Back in Kenya she established the Sauti Kuu Foundation, which wants to open up opportunities for a better future for young people in rural Kenya. Now she is member and patron of various Councils, Foundations and Advisory Boards like the World Future Council. Dr Auma Obama has won the World Human Rights Award (2015) and many more. She published her widely read biography both in German 'Das Leben kommt immer dazwischen' (2010), and in English 'And Then Life Happens' (2012).
Prof. Andreas Schleicher, Director for Education and Skills, and Special Advisor on Education Policy to the Secretary-General / OECD, Paris
As a key member of the OECD Senior Management team, Andreas Schleicher supports the Secretary-General´s stategy to produce analysis and policy advice that advances economic growth and social process. The work of the Directorate also includes among others the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) or the OECD Teaching and Learning International Survey (TALIS). Before joing the OECD, Mr Schleicher who studied Physics in Germany, was Director for Analysis at the International Association for Educational Achievement (IEA). He is the recipient of numerous honours and awards, including the "Theodor Heuss" prize for "exemplary democratic engagement".
