Research Project: Developmental Trajectories of Early Childhood Professionals and Primary Teachers

Early Childhood Educators' and Primary School Teachers' Professional Development in STEM Education (EpFL MINT)

Insights into pedagogues' individual needs and learning pathways, and factors influencing their development in these educational domains.

The objective of this study is to obtain insights into typical developmental trajectories in early childhood educators' and primary teachers' "professionalisation biographies" in science, technology, computer science, and mathematics. The investigation will focus, in particular, on their learning needs in various phases of their professionalisation in these domains and on the implementation of learning content from continuing professional education (CPD) activities into the everyday pedagogical life of the institution. The findings of the study will help the "Haus der kleinen Forscher" (Little Scientists' House) Foundation to (further) develop its offerings in an even more tailored and needs-based way in future.
